Good evening. My question is about Vraska (& sorta by extension Jace): did I miss something? I’ve been reading the stories pretty consistently since at least the build-up to MOM & on, and (spoilers for MOM) Vraska’s last moments were bittersweet but well-done & seemingly very final. Phyrexianized & fading away, trapped on a now-sequestered New Phyrexia. Then all of a sudden she shows up randomly, not trapped, not phrexianized, on Wild West world, and the narrative never seems to touch on it (spoilers for OTJ: the end with Annie’s eye sorta explains Jace & so maybe he’s been illusioning her too... but really? At as distance? This whole time? Etc. - They do give us a moment of Ral vs. Vraska but only like a sentence before the camera literally says ANYWAY, back to the main characters , so I’m left unfulfilled). Maybe it was an intentional choice to mysteriously bring back an ostensibly-dead character so the readers are intrigued & want to see more but for me it wrapped all the way back around to ... with no fanfare? Wut?? . Otherwise, enjoyed the stories. Thanks for your time
   There’s epilogue stories next week

Hi Jay. Not wanting to sound mean, but I really think it must be commented and that there’s no softer way of doing that: the company’s statement of Thunder Junction being an inhabitated plane prior to MoM is not a honest way of capitalizing on a sellable trope without touching its uncomfortable issues. It’s even disrespectful. They have done it in a less flagrant way with Kaladesh and both Ixalan iterations, but now they’ve gotten too far with Thunder Junction. Colonialism is too big an issue to simply being put under the carpet as it never existed and we could just enjoy the sunny part of the history. I really hope Hasbro as a company acknowledges this and changes its way of dealing with the theme. Thanks for letting me pointing this.
Look, you caught me on a bad day, so I’m going to be as polite as possible but let’s start with the foundation that this is not a complaint to direct at me. I have no control over any of this. Mark Rosewater exists and takes feedback on Tumblr. But, let’s talk about it, because I’ve seen some folks...

Since Bruse Tarl isn’t an Ally anymore on Thunder Junction, does that mean he came out?
I know this is a joke, but maybe To be clear this isn’t canon it’s just answering the other way implied bad things about Bruse that definitely wouldn’t be canon.

So Jace was in WOE and OTJ, and kind of implied to be on MKM (though I understand at this moment it’s just rumors). Was there any Jace reference in LCI?
I’m not explicitly answering this question, other than to say we have Epilogue stories next week

Was it really Ashiok on Wilds of Eldraine?
All I will say is there’s two Epilogue chapters next week that may answer your questions that the main story didn’t.Although I will say, Ashiok is real, and if they showed up on a card with the type Ashiok, that was them.somewhere south of neutral:We have now had it canonically confirmed by MaRo ...

Why couldn’t Annie see through Ashok’s illusion. That’s literally her whole thing...
Okay, as the spoilers are flooding the social media space, I’ll answer this one.Annie’s illusion thing isn’t always on, she needs to use it. If she’s not expecting an illusion, she has no reason to check. All that said, this is also a scenario where if someone like Annie could see through it in the...

Here’s some constructive criticism on the stories: I think it’s kinda dull that a lot of planeswalker cards can make tokens, but we never see that happening in the stories. It would have been cool to see the Wanderer conjuring Samurai to fight for her, for example, or Oko summoning an Elk in one of the many situations in the recent history in which that would have been useful. As is, the planeswalkers feel too much like normal characters. (Elspeth even had to fistfight back in New Capenna )
We learned long ago that making the stories too exact to the cards leads to less good stories.Hot Take: We do see those things, they’re just not flavored as oops it just appeared

So were there animals like snake and such on the plane before the Omenpaths or was it entirely devoid of life?
It wasn’t devoid of like, the flora was there, and I’m sure there was non sapient fauna, in addition to stuff imported from other planes.

Was there any point to Fortune being smart magical...? Or what even it was
It’s a neat detail. It also plays into some trope space with cowboy heroes and smart horses.

So what’s the deal with Kamigawa tech? At the time Neon Dynasty was released, it was implied that Kamigawa tech ran off of ambient kami energy and wouldn’t work off plane. Yet in Thunder Junction we have both Satoru Umezawa and Nashi using Kamigawa tech off plane. What’s stopping Kamigawa from spreading smartphones to the entire multiverse?
My interpretation would be that we’re looking at either: residual magical charge tech works until it doesn’t, magic works until it doesn’t, or there’s a link between planes due to the nature of the omenpaths, something like that or it simply adapts to the ambient magical energy. The reason...

Following up on what you said about aetherborn and Planar afterlifes. Do most planes have fleshed out rules for the afterlife? We saw what appeared to be Gideon in theros’ afterlife after dying on Ravnica. I’ve always been curious as to what happens after our favorite characters die. And especially the belief systems of the average citizens on non-god centric planes. E.G. Gruul Gods
Gideon’s thing was not actually in the Theros Afterlife I’ve discussed that a bunch, but I want to also note that it doesn’t mean it wasn’t real .Some planes have defined afterlives, others do not. Usually they’re where it’s thematically appropriate top down settings based on real world...

Is this. Is this what you wanted. Also I want to make it clear there’s nothing behind that shell bra. As you can see biological accuracy is incredibly important to me

So are the four humors actually a biological reality in the multiverse, or is that just how New Capennans understand hormones’?
That’s how at least one New Capennan understands the transition process on New Capenna.loreleywrites:The four humours are blood, phlegm, estradiol, and t gel

Hello Would it be too much work for you to compile an everything we know about the fomori sort of post? I’m invested in the big picture lore and mystery but don’t have time to comb through everything that’s out there
There are non technological Fomori on Turri Island on Ir.There were high tech Fomori invaders from another plane in Ixalan’s core millennia ago, and they tried to create a Dyson sphere around the Sun god. They got wrecked and their wreckage was left behind. You’re caught up There’s a lot of...

Since aether is, unconfirmed, some primal energy in the very essence of a plane or similar, what does stepping through an Omenpath feel like to an Aetherborn? Or even being on another plane that isn’t Kaladesh?
Aether is richer on Kaladesh but it’s on every plane. I think the only real consequences for an aetherborn off plane is the same one for everyone else: they might miss out on their home plane’s afterlife. Kaladeshi aetherborn are strongly implied to reincarnate on Kaladesh.

Could currently desparked planeswalker use methods like the one Ob Nixilis used to regain his back in Battle for Zendikar?
Maybe not that specific method, but it could be possible.
