The IOC essentially gave Russia the green light to weaponize the Olympics. Because the Kremlin will use every Russian and Belarusian athlete as a weapon in its propaganda warfare. I urge all partners to strongly condemn this shameful decision, which undermines Olympic principles.

While Russia tries to ruin the OSCE, its participating states overwhelmingly support Ukraine. Today, 43 of them joined the Ukraine-initiated joint statement on the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor. I thank each state that demands justice for Moscow’s past and present crimes.

The century of Henry Kissinger was no easy one, but its great challenges fit his great and curious mind. He changed its pace and the face of diplomacy. Crisp in thoughts, prolific in writings. His intellectual legacy will continue to influence the understanding of diplomacy and world order. I was honored to know him.

I thanked SecBlinken for his strong statement at today’s NATO-Ukraine Council. Our meeting today proves that the narrative of fatigue is misleading. Those who count on American or international support for Ukraine to weaken over time will be deeply disappointed. Ukraine is immensely grateful to the American people for their support. We defend the right to live in a peaceful and independent democracy whose borders are fully respected. Ukraine’s fight is also about the capability of the US and its allies to defend the values and interests for which they stand.

Always good to catch up with MelanieJoly. Canada remains our reliable partner that stands with Ukraine in the long run. I am grateful to Canada for its active efforts to help us return Ukrainian children stolen by Russia. We also value Canada’s continued efforts to rally global support for ZelenskyyUA’s Peace Formula.

First meeting in person with my Norwegian colleague EspenBarthEide. I am grateful to Norway for its reliable assistance, notably the long-term Nansen program, as well as its support for Ukraine’s further integration into NATO. We also discussed joint active work on advancing ZelenskyyUA’s Peace Formula.

My Italian colleague Antonio Tajani and I coordinated steps toward #EUCO summit in December. I am grateful to Italy for its leadership and to Minister Tajani for reaffirming that Italy’s support for Ukraine remains strong and unwavering. As Italy prepares to lead G7 throughout 2024, it was important to hear that Ukraine will be one of its top priorities. I also thank Italy for working together with us to put ZelenskyyUA’s Peace Formula into action.

I am grateful to JensStoltenberg for leading the way in supporting Ukraine and for recognising Ukraine’s successes on the battlefield and in the Black Sea. We both agree that Euro-Atlantic defense industries need to work as one system in order to both ramp up supplies to Ukraine and strengthen NATO allies. This priority resonates well with them. We discussed specific steps to create such an integrated system. NATO has a crucial coordinating role in bringing all allies and defense companies together.

Always glad to meet with my French counterpart MinColonna. I thanked France for its continued military support for Ukraine. We discussed the preparations for the #EUCO summit in December, where the decision on opening Ukraine’s EU accession talks is anticipated. We also spoke in detail about how we can jointly take the European defense industry to a new level.

Constructive meeting with my new Slovak counterpart Juraj Blanár. I thank Minister Blanár for reaffirming Slovakia’s unequivocal support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within our internationally recognized borders. It is also important that Slovakia will continue to participate in the joint work on ZelenskyyUa’s Peace Formula and is ready to support #EUCO decision on December to open accession talks with Ukraine. I am also grateful to my Slovak counterpart for confirming that defense industry cooperation among our companies will continue, and the repair hub in Slovakia will also maintain operations.

I met with my Estonian friend Tsahkna. I thank Estonia for standing ready to support #EUCO decision in December to open Ukraine accession talks and ready to advocate for it. We also discussed the path forward to the Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.

Denmark’s Foreign Minister LarsLoekke and I discussed the Ukrainian-Danish defense cooperation and the path to a pan-European defense industries area. We also discussed the preparations to the #EUCO summit in December, which is expected to adopt many important decisions, including the one on opening accession talks with Ukraine. I thank Denmark for its persistent support for Ukraine

I met with JMAlbares to congratulate him on his reappointment and reaffirm the strength of Ukrainian-Spanish partnership. I am grateful to my friend for confirming Spain’s unwavering support for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression and also in the December #EUCO decision on opening accession talks. We also discussed ways to ramp up the capacity of European defense industries.

In Brussels, I met with JosepBorrellF to thank him for his leadership in mobilising support for Ukraine. Four big decisions are in the pipeline. The 12th EU sanctions package; the use of frozen Russian assets for Ukraine’s recovery; the launch of Ukraine Facility; and above all, the EUCO December decision to open EU accession talks with Ukraine. We are working hand in hand with HR VP on all of them. We also discussed in detail my proposal to create a pan-European Defense Industries Area with EU members, candidates, and like-minded countries joining efforts in defense production.

Sincere congratulations to WinstonPeters on his appointment as New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs. I look forward to working together to deepen our bilateral relations, counter Russian aggression against Ukraine, and restore international law.

By firing over 70 drones at Ukraine overnight on the eve of Holodomor genocide Remembrance Day, Moscow indirectly takes responsibility for this heinous past crime of starving millions of Ukrainians to death. For them, it was about killing Ukrainians then and it is now. The difference between 1932-1933 and now is that back then we were practically defenseless against the totalitarian evil that took away all of our food and cordoned off starving villages, preventing people from seeking rescue in other regions. Today, we have our own state, our own army, our own air defense, and our own memory. We will never forgive and never forget what the Kremlin has done to our people. Moscow takes pride in killing Ukrainians. But they also show how scared they are of the fact that we are stronger than them. The USSR, and later Russia, made every attempt to conceal and deny the crime of the Holodomor genocide. They failed. 28 states and three international organizations have recognized it as genocide against Ukrainians, and this number has more than doubled in 2022-2023. I am grateful to each and every of them and call on others to follow suit. We will continue our work to expand global recognition of the Holodomor. Evil must and will be defeated and held accountable.
